Born in Moscow, Pavel has moved to Germany in 1994. He studied Linguistics, English and Information Science at the University of Duesseldorf and subsequently spent a year at the University of Oxford, where he graduated with a Master degree in General Linguistics. His working languages are Russian, German and English.
Pavel has been working as an interpreter and translator since 2001; his major work areas are interpreting at conferences, trade fairs and business meetings. The topics he has covered vary widely, from dentistry to depositions and from oil and gas to video games, but his main expertise is in business and technical interpreting and translation. Pavel also offers simultaneous interpreting services.
Pavel has worked for major international organisations (e.g. the United Nations University) and multinational companies (e.g. Konica Minolta), but he was (and is) equally happy to work with SMEs and non-profits. He also has experience in teaching Russian (specializing in Business Russian) and providing editing/proofreading services. He has, partly with Alexandra, worked on some Russian language guides and dictionaries by Pons publishing house.
